With global innovative styles and trends in the beauty industry that are all the rave…. Caribbean Style Phyle has a “between the scenes” chat with the incredibly talented Makeup Artist Sue Gregg on the set of this month’s beauty shoot. Sue the Makeup Girl gives her insight and tips on these looks and techs seen here in this simply stunning edition.

For 2019 we’re seeing a interesting twist on the trend with the incorporation of bold colours and cut creases. This bold look is complemented by soft glossy lips with tiny, reflective pigments. Graphic liner has been a runway staple for years which has had most of us fixated on perfecting our winged liner skills.

To achieve this look:

~ Play up the eyes with bold colors – matte eyeshadows are recommended

– use liquid black liner to outline the lid for the cut crease effect

~ Keep the lips understated this a translucent lip gloss

With the beauty world moving away from the sculpted contour- glowy, fresh faces are in. Skin is perfected and bronzed to achieve an effortless, almost childlike glow.

This is the perfect canvas for a bold lip to truly shine – a metallic finish provides the edge that keeps the look far from basic.

To achieve this look:

~ Apply a light layer of foundation , avoid over powdering to enhance that “lit from within glow”

~ apply a shimmering highlighter to the cheeks , nose and temples

~ Add a metallic bright lipstick of your choice  to finish the look

Texture play is in with a mixture of finishes such as matte, gloss, satin are combined to create eye catching looks that can subtle or bold. This look features glossy fuchsia lids and a cool lilac-gray lip.

To achieve this look:

~ apply pink eyeshadow to lid then pat clear lip gloss on top for the glossy finish
